Happy Monday Beautiful People!
Hope you had a lovely weekend. Mine was ok. Majority of it was spent putting things things away at the new place and attending a friend's birthday party, which I enjoyed. It was great mingling with friends outside of church, since that's the only group of people I call friends here. It's even better when you're sharing stories and experiences with new moms, just like yourself. On a different note, I want to say I'm sure I'm not the only mom that feels guilty when Sunday evening/Monday morning rolls in and I think about how much of my weekend I actually spend sitting and playing/bounding with Miss E. Is it just me or is there anyone else out there? Is this guilt feeling natural? Then again, we just moved and that's bound to keep me busy for a little while along with the regular daily life stuff. I am being caution regarding what I put on my to-do list for the weekends, however, I just feel like I never set aside enough time for Miss E. It doesn't help that she's always sleeping either (not that I'm complaining about that). I guess this is the rant of a new/working mom.

By the time I got around to checking the Zara sales, there were very few things left in my size that actually interest me and this skirt was one of them. Love the bold stripes and the fit. I played off the color and went with a semi causal look by pairing it with a denim jacket, blue necklace and a white lace top. My heels have always been high and higher, but since becoming a mom, I'm finding low heels attractive. Don't want that to translate into boring, but they can be comfortable for getting the job done sometimes. Leaving home in the morning now involves 4 bags sometimes 5(handbag, lunch bag, pump tote, diaper bag and sometimes work laptop) and a baby and car seat. Doing all that in a 4 inch heel, well isn't very practical. Most of the time I wear my flats till I get to work then change. But, on days I'm wearing shoes like this, I don't have to worry about flats. One less thing to pack. Which is why when I found this at Target, I didn't think twice about it.
Have a lovely week everyone.

Early Valentine In Pink and Black

DSCN3121
Hi Loves! What a week!
Is it really only Wednesday!? In short, this week has been like no other. I'm so glad I sort of get a break tomorrow, thanks to the snow storm. In between a very busy and early morning meetings work week, Miss E. starting daycare and packing to move, let's just say it's been a roller coaster. Can't wait for at least the moving part to be done.

Mr. D and I had date night two weekends ago to make up for the fact that we're going to be buried deep in boxes on Valentine's weekend. I created an inspiration for this outfit on Polyvore (follow @Sixthlens) weeks ago. So, for the date night, I decided to bring it to life. Here's my re-creation of the outfit. Love this off shoulder top, I've been looking for something like this for a while, and couldn't be more happier with this. The peplum hi-low style is a plus. Paired it with my pink full skirt and a translucent belt. Pink is another great color to incorporate into your Valentine's day outfit other than red. I changed my mind last minute from going with a black pump to this peach and silver cap toe one which I started questioning as soon as we walked out the door. But, I think it works.
Enjoy the rest of your week!

Chicken and Dumpling soup w/ Recipe

.
I feel like it's been ages since my last food/recipe post. I posted a picture of this dish on instagram months ago and promised to have the recipe on the blog, so here we are, finally. My sister made this for us when she visited so I decided to make my own version. Personally, I'm not a fan of soup, I mean American soup, but if this is close to what  they taste like, then I'm willing to at least try to become a fan.
Enjoy!

Hi Loves! Happy New Month !
It's hard to believe the first month is gone and February is here already. With the amount of activities we have packed into this month, I'm sure it will go by fast as well. Hope your week is going well. If you're in the snow storm area, hope you're staying warm and driving safely. I battled my way to work on Monday and left really early. But, I would not be doing that tomorrow. I'll hopefully be working from my couch or bed, whichever is more pleasing :)

Enjoy today's outfit post. Moving is upon us, so the days of you seeing me in this hallway or in front of a red brick wall, you know, that same background in almost all my pictures lol... is coming to an end.
Have a great rest of the week.
